Dr. Kristina Lem

Dr. Kristina Lem was born and raised in south Texas. She completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin, and then continued her education at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences to obtain her DVM in 2002 and also an MS in Epidemiology in 2007.

Dr. Lem has a wide range of experience. Following graduation, she has worked in private practice, shelter medicine, government and academia.


Her professional interests include pain management and high quality medicine and surgery. She is a member of the AVMA, TVMA, HCVMA and ASV. She served on the Board of Directors of the HCVMA for 6 years.


Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Lem enjoys relaxing at home with her husband, playing with her two young children, two dogs and a cat. She enjoys spending time in the country, reading and watching movies.



Dr. Alan Herron 

Dr. Herron was born in Indiana and went to Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. After one year in private practice he completed a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical School,and then was the Thomas -Astor Resident in Pathology at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. He was a Professor of Pathology at University of Miami School of Medicine, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Baylor College of Medicine. 

 He is currently a part time employee at Jester Plaza Veterinary Clinic and especially enjoys working with medical cases and cancer biology. Dr. Herron and his wife Helena with two pet Silky Terriers.
